A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed and exchanged on 30th August, 2018 between Central Council for Research Institute of Unani Medicine (CCRUM), and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad in a glittering ceremony held at Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine (CRIUM), Hyderabad.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Director general, CCRUM and Dr Shashi Bala Singh, Director, NIPER Hyderabad in presence of Shri Pramod Kumar Pathak, Additional Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Dr K.S. Kardam, Sr. Joint Controller of Patents & Designs, Dr. M.A.Waheed, former Director, CRIUM, Hyderabad and Prof. Munawwar H. Kazmi, Deputy Director I/C, CRIUM, Hyderabad are the other dignitaries present during the ceremony.

The purpose of this MoU is to foster collaboration between CCRUM and NIPER Hyderabad and to provide mutual beneficial working opportunity to develop and validate the Unani formulation, particularly in new drug development, preclinical safety and efficacy studies, Pharmaceutical analysis, Quality Control (QC) and microbiological studies of Unani formulations.
